Angela is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) in the Houston, TX area. She graduated with a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Tarleton State University. Angela began her therapeutic career as a High School Counselor, working with at-risk students and participating in the Region 12 Crisis Response Team. After 3 years, she transitioned into a clinical setting, working as a Clinical Therapist at a private psychiatric hospital in Central Texas. She has moved to the Houston area to continue therapeutic work in private practice, and also leads therapy groups at area hospitals when needed. You can also find her teaching undergraduate Psychology courses at Lone Star College.
Angela has completed EMDR basic training, and utilizes this type of therapy most often in sessions. She has focused her professional development learning on EMDR and art therapy. Although not a certified art therapist, Angela utilizes artistic and creative therapy techniques with EMDR. Her main therapeutic focuses are with PTSD/trauma, anxiety, grief, depression, and coping. She sees adolescents and adults, helping them move past being “stuck” and towards becoming thriving and forward-moving individuals again.
For LPC interns pursuing full licensure, Angela provides caring supervision, helpful information, and a side of fun. She has a passion for teaching up-and-coming therapists and always wants to help them cultivate their love and passion for the field. Call or email for more information.
